Meet Sadie!

August 11, 2010

Sadie is a two month old puppy that was picked up as a stray by MDAS. We pulled her and since coming to DRSF she has been being cared for at Crossroads Animal Hospital. She is only about 3-4 lbs. She has been receiving care for the worst kind of mange—sarcoptic mange. This form of mange is contagious to humans and other animals; it is also known as “scabies”, so finding a foster home was not a viable option until she was no longer contagious. Thanks to careful vetting, she will be cured soon.  Please check out her adorable pictures and if you would like to make a contribution to her vetting costs, it would be much appreciated (Click “Donate Now” on our home page, http://dachshundrescuesouthflorida.com/).  If you are interested in adopting this gorgeous girl, please read our adoption procedures and fill out an application.
